We are supporting a well established (celebrating their 41st year in business this year) grade 2 national training provider in their search for Sales and Business Development professionals in the UK. This is a brand new and exciting position to be part of an already formed and successful sales team. You will be responsible for engaging with employers across the UK through various business development activity, to promote the benefits of apprenticeships. You will help employers plan and manage apprenticeship programmes that meet their organisational needs and develop the skills of their people. We're looking for pro-active candidates with a good understanding of the apprenticeship/ work based learning sector in order to demonstrate strong product knowledge, secure new clients and nurture relationships through effective account management. The role will be home based with nationwide coverage, so candidates must be comfortable with travelling.

£30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) + bonus/commission structure, 25 days holiday + bank (increase on service and buy back), home office working equipment, mileage and travel expenses paid, pension plus more!

You will be responsible for
- Generating new business across the UK
- Engaging with employers to develop and foster business relationships
- Proactively develop business through various activities (calls, email marketing, networking, meetings etc)
- Work closely with training teams and managers to ensure that delivery is meeting businesses needs and objectives
- Account manage business relationships and maintain client records
- Find new ways to support existing clients and expand range of delivery 
- Meeting team/ individual targets 
- Activity network and attend events when possible

Essential Criteria
- Strong knowledge around apprenticeships (including standards and funding)
- Experienced in developing and maintaining meaningful business relationships 
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets in sales driven environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload
- A professional, self-driven team player
